We will use 2024 as the baseline year for measuring progress toward our goal.
CCSC’s focus over the next five years will be to deepen and expand our current Emergency Services and Workforce Development programs, which equip families to face immediate crises and to build stronger financial futures. We do not plan to launch a new program in the next five years.
We do not expect major changes to our current programs. As we expand, teams may identify and implement process changes that will help CCSC serve clients more efficiently. Our priority is to serve more clients with the same level of quality, attention, and results we have now.
The Strategic Planning Committee’s research indicated that CCSC can increase its impact within our current service area, especially in East Houston, where the level of need is significant. As a result, CCSC will prioritize increasing impact in our current service area before expanding to additional zip codes.
CCSC Youth Services programs, including Back To School, Jingle Bell Express, and the Louise J. Moran Vision Care Program, provide vital and needed services to the community. CCSC recently assessed the capacity and impact of these programs and concluded that they are each at an appropriate capacity.
The Strategic Planning Committee identified East Houston as an area where our services could have a greater impact. We plan to expand our services to clients living in this area, with the hope of expanding to a new, third location in East Houston. We will spend the first one to two years researching and assessing this possibility.
We have a bold vision of serving more and we cannot do it without you! Churches and individuals can make financial gifts, volunteer, and donate food to our food pantry. We also invite you to join our community of monthly donors, the Hope Builders, whose regular, faithful gifts ensure CCSC has the resources each month to serve clients in need.
