"Sherry" came to CCSC from a domestic violence shelter. At the shelter, she heard about CCSC’s Workforce Development Program, and she was specifically interested in computer classes at JobNet. While at JobNet, Sherry heard about our Home Caregiver Training Program and realized that was where she belonged.  

“CCSC and everyone at JobNet helped me beyond what I could imagine,” she said. “I truly believe that my classes at JobNet and my training with the Home Caregiver program helped me get my job at MD Anderson.”

Sherry is now working as a patient escort at MD Anderson and hopes to move into her own apartment in September.  

“I absolutely love my job and helping those who are experiencing cancer have a more blessed day by cheering them up,” Sherry said. “I would highly recommend CCSC as a place to get help.”
