Bethany Christian Church announced a landmark gift of $3 million to the Christian Community Service Center (CCSC) to enhance its facilities and increase the scope of its services in keeping with CCSC's 2030 Strategic Vision.

This transformative investment reflects the church’s enduring commitment to advancing dignity, compassion, and community wellbeing throughout the city of Houston. Bethany Christian Church, located at 3223 Westheimer, has served Houston for over 110 years. Funding for this gift comes from the recent sale of their property to The Story Church.

“We have cast a vision to serve 50% more people in our basic needs and workforce development program,” said Michelle Shonbeck, President and CEO of CCSC. “This gift will be absolutely transformational for CCSC. It will give us a powerful beginning to ultimately serve more Houstonians.”
