Christmas Program
About Jingle Bell Express
Jingle Bell Express began as one of the first outreach programs of Christian Community Service Center. In 1980, volunteers under the guise of “Santa’s Helpers” provided Christmas cheer for 40 needy families. The program quickly expanded and thanks to the generosity of many wonderful Houstonians, we support about 2,500 children and their families each holiday season.
Jingle Bell Express is unique in comparison to other Christmas programs as it offers three layers of services (toys, books and food) to address play, literacy and hunger.
Children in need (from newborn to age 15) who live in our 33-zip code service area are eligible for enrollment. At registration in early October, parents demonstrate financial need and proof of residency and are given an invitation to attend Jingle Bell Express in December. Registered volunteers delight in helping during every phase of the program, from registering children to packing gift bags and guiding parents through the drive-thru event. Individual volunteers and groups of less than eight people can click the button below to sign up to volunteer at Jingle Bell Express. Groups of eight or more please sign up to volunteer with Youth Services Manager Cathy Brown at seasonal@ccschouston.org.
Many churches, local companies and individuals donate new, nonviolent toys and books to help support this holiday program. Gift suggestions can be found on our annual Jingle Bell Express wish list (click on button below).

CCSC looks forward to engaging volunteers and serving children at Christmas this year (December 5 – 10, 2022). For more information on Jingle Bell Express, contact the Youth Services Manager at 713-961-3993 ext. 326 or seasonal@ccschouston.org.
