Brandon S. never thought he would find himself short on rent.
“It was hard to believe at first. I’ve never been in this position before,” Brandon said.
After being laid off from his lead maintenance position, Brandon started job hunting and driving for Uber.
After a couple of months, Brandon’s savings ran out and he could not make his rent. He found CCSC on the internet.
“I was feeling kind of desperate, and I found you. I thought, ‘I’ve got to go see if CCSC can help me.’”
You and CCSC helped Brandon with rent and food and gave him the breathing room he needed to look for a better-paying job.
“I’ve got a job history built up. It just takes a while (finding work) and CCSC paying the rent gives me the time I need. It’s a comforting feeling that the rent is paid. That’s a big thing.”
When people in crisis turn to CCSC they need compassion as well as financial help.
“I’ve been treated great (at CCSC). You have no idea what it means to people to get simple help,” Brandon said. “It’s not easy to ask for help, especially when you haven’t had to before. I appreciate this on all levels.”
Brandon S. is thankful for your support during the time he was laid off and could not pay his rent.
