Get Utility Bill & Rental Assistance

We provide financial assistance with rent or utilities during a crisis so individuals and families can remain in their homes with electricity, gas and water.

Our Process

1. Call to make an appointment
Call 713-871-9741 Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., to make an appointment to meet with one of our interviewers.
Due to high call volume, this number may be busy. Please keep trying.
2. Meet with an interviewer
Arrive at your appointment time with the requested paperwork and IDs. You will discuss your situation in more detail with an interviewer so we can see if we can help.
3. Receive financial assistance
If approved, receive short-term help paying for rent, utilities or medical expenses.

Serving Those in the Following Zip Codes

Because other nonprofits are best able to serve other areas, our 29 zip codes are targeted to minimize duplication of services as well as connect our neighbors to the resources that are geographically closest to them.
If you do not live in CCSC’s zip code service area please call 211, the Texas/United Way HELPLINE, to find assistance in your area.

Come to the location that is most convenient for you. Appointments are REQUIRED for financial assistance. Walk-in clients without appointments cannot be assisted with financial requests.
