Full-time Facilities Assistant/Driver

In this vital role, you will support the infrastructure that powers our mission—delivering food, hygiene items, diapers, and financial assistance to the programs that directly help those in need. Position Summary:

The Facilities Assistant/Driver supports the program activities and facilities of Christian Community Service Center by ensuring the safe and timely transportation of food and supplies, maintaining agency vehicle(s), and assisting with general facilities upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the agency’s truck to pick up food donations from partner organizations and suppliers.
Deliver food and supplies to the agency’s secondary food pantry location.
Timely and professional execution of donation pick-ups at private residences, member churches and/or businesses.
Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with agency protocols.
Maintain CCSC vehicles by purchasing gas, maintaining inspections as directed and keeping vehicles clean.
Restock our central food pantry daily and manage the food storage area by sorting and storing food according to specific instructions, keeping the storage area swept and clean, performing a weekly food inventory, and breaking down food orders from the store in the food storage area. Restock our secondary food pantry weekly and return any empty crates and/or trash as necessary to the central food pantry.
Perform light facility maintenance, monitor and keep facilities/grounds in order and set up rooms for meetings.

Certifications/Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Teams and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Texas driver’s license with a clear driving record. Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and drug screening.
At least two years of experience driving a box truck and transporting and moving heavy bulk items with a manual pallet jack.
Must be able to complete detail-oriented tasks and be able to communicate effectively and accurately.
Must be able to move and transport objects or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
