EOG Resources, one of the largest crude oil and natural gas exploration and production companies in the United States, supports its Houston neighbors in need through Christian Community Service Center’s Emergency Services and Youth Services programs.
This year, a gift from EOG helped fund CCSC’s Emergency Services program, including 600 Hurricane Preparedness kits, 2,000 pounds of beans and rice, and 500 hygiene kits for visitors to CCSC’s food pantries. Employee teams also donated time to assemble the hygiene kits and rice and bean packages.
EOG values employee volunteerism and considers it an important aspect of its culture and CCSC and the underserved population it supports benefit from that value system.
“CCSC and EOG have a long history of working together to help the low-income, struggling families that CCSC serves,” CCSC Chief Advancement Officer Lauren Niemeyer said. “We love hosting EOG for projects. Their volunteer teams are always fun and enthusiastic.”
“EOG appreciates CCSC’s wide reach and the holistic family support services the organization provides to the Houston region,” said Keith Trasko, SVP, Exploration and Production at EOG. “We really enjoy and look forward to supporting and volunteering at the CCSC each year.”
"CCSC thanks EOG's management and staff who came out and rocked beans and rice repackaging and hygiene kit assembly this summer. We look forward to seeing them at our Jingle Bell Express event in December," Emergency Services-Central Manager Fina Govea said. "You can tell how much they care about our projects and the people we serve."
