Volunteering at CCSC
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at CCSC. Please email the Volunteer Manager at volunteer@ccschouston.org for specific information on available on-site volunteer positions and our COVID safety protocols. Off-site volunteer projects that would greatly help CCSC are food and hygiene item drives. CCSC is relying heavily on community food and hygiene donations to meet the increase in people being served at our food pantries.
Like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/CCSC-Christian-Community-Service-Center-19466767453/ to find out about upcoming community food and hygiene drives.
Although every can, bag and box helps, a list of current items that are most needed can be found here.
Our Volunteers Have a Major Impact
Exactly how can a small staff impact tens of thousands of people in crisis, hundreds of job seekers and about 9,000 children in need each year? Well, simply put, it doesn’t. Most services at Christian Community Service Center are performed by volunteers. Hundreds of volunteers contribute to our mission. Students, retirees, stay-at-home parents, working professionals—there is a volunteer opportunity at CCSC for everyone.
There are a variety of volunteer service opportunities at CCSC. Some positions are team-oriented while others are more independent. Many volunteer opportunities involve direct client services while others focus on fundraising or administration. Some jobs require ongoing involvement. Others can be seasonal or occasional. CCSC is always in need of bilingual volunteers to help in various areas.
How to Get Started as a Volunteer
All potential volunteers need to contact our Volunteer Manager at volunteer@ccschouston.org or by filling out the Volunteer Interest Form. The Volunteer Manager will make an appointment to meet with you to answer your questions, explore your interests and review current CCSC volunteer opportunities.

We will provide updates as circumstances change.
For all:
- Please continue to wash hands and use hand sanitizer.
- Individuals are asked to monitor their own symptoms and stay home if they have high fever or other concerns.
For the safety of all:
- We continue to have masks available if needed.
- We continue to offer hand sanitizer in our public spaces.
CCSC continues to monitor the situation and shift as new information comes forward. The health and safety of staff and guests are a priority.
Stay safe & healthy!
